Rabbi Boruch Chait at Ohr David
This past Motzei Shabbos, we had the privilege
of having Rabbi Boruch Chait at our Yeshiva. For those that
don’t recognize the name, Rabbi Chait was the founder
of the well known “Rabbis Sons”. For decades,
his music and stories have added holiness and joy into many
lives. This Saturday night was no exception!
The evening started off with a lavish melave malka prepared
by the Rabbis. It included: Bagels and cream cheese as well
as Home-made baked ziti and a whole lot more.
Then, in walked Reb Boruch! Rabbi Chait has been
to Ohr David consistently over the past decade but the look
on his face told you that this would be something special!
After setting up all the equipment, Reb Boruch as well as
the other boys that play instruments, were ready to go! Our
very own Rabbi Berry, ( a.k.a. Suki), was all ready to go
on the keyboard.
Reb
Boruch went on to tell us how during the Yom Kippur War he
went to sing with soldiers on the mountain tops IN Syria.
These young soldiers had just lost all their friends, and
Reb Boruch then introduced his famous song “Kol Haolam
Kulo”. The words “Lo Lefached Klal” (Do
Not Fear At All), sent shivers up everyone’s spine.
We sang and danced till the late hours of the night. There
was a special joy as well as emotion hanging over the Ohr
David Campus on that night.
Just another special night at Ohr David. We invite
you to see the
full picture album from this event on our website.
Enjoy!
